Foundations of Effective TeachingFoundations for Effective Teaching I: Organizing the Classroom Environment for Teaching and Learning
Foundations of Effective Teaching is a research-based, teacher-directed
process, which examines effective teaching practices. Research shows
that successful teachers have high expectations for all students, and
they communicate these expectations through sound educational
practices. The course consists of ten sessions that include Classroom
Arrangement, Beginning of the Year Classroom Management, Group
Management, Time-On-Task, Direct Instruction, Cooperative Small Groups
and Feedback and Praise. This innovative program uses careful
observation of actual classroom practices to pinpoint effective
teaching methods.
Foundations for Effective Teaching II: Delivering Effective Instruction The Federation offers both Foundations 1 and 2.
